Hi Pauline, Robyn and I had such a fantastic joint 50th and you were at the top of our list to what contributed to a very stylish and successful evening. Everyone was so impressed with 'The Mermaids'.    Our wish was for the dancing to start and continue from the first set and that is exactly what you achieved. This is the third time the Ball has been presented to the Blockhouse Bay Community. We launched this event in 2003 and for two years it ran well. But, I always felt that I was looking for the Band. As they say,"food is to a restaurant as music is to a Ball".     I was lucky enough to attend the South Auckland District Health Board Ball at the Ellerslie Convention Centre November 2004, where "the Mermaids" performed. I was so impressed with the performance of the  band, their choice of music and interaction with the audience, that I knew I had found "the Band" for the Blockhouse Bay Ball.   The 2005 BHB Spring Ball with "the Mermaids" providing the entertainment, was a roaring success and I was so happy with the band that I immediately booked them for the 2006 Spring Ball.   Again, their choice of music, costume changes and professionalism had the audience dancing all night. We had an extremely successful night, at this stage, with a year to go, we have people wanting to buy tickets already.
