Joe Cotton was a part of Pop History

Joe gained national recognition as part of female recording group "TrueBliss", the very first made for television pop experiment, which happened in New Zealand 1996-7, the forerunner to Idol and many more such concepts.

Joe was one of five female singers chosen from among 600 hopefuls at the "Popstars" auditions.

The "Popstars" phenomenon has been repeated in Australia (Bardot), Britain (Hear'say),  the USA, even Ireland  the concept has been franchised around the world - but it happened here in New Zealand first.

The www.truebliss.co.nz URL was lapsed by Sony Music some ten years ago and taken over by "The Mermaids" since that time.

www.truebliss.co.nz is owned and hosted by The Mermaids Danceband management and this is not a Truebliss Official or unofficial site.
