Joe originally gained national recognition as part
of female recording group "TrueBliss", the very first made for
television pop experiment, which happened in New Zealand 1996-7, the
forerunner to Idol and many more such concepts. Joe was one of five female
singers chosen from among 600 hopefuls at the "Popstars"
auditions.
The "Popstars" phenomenon has been
repeated in Australia (Bardot), Britain (Hear'say), the USA, even Ireland
the concept has been franchised around the world - but it happened here in
New Zealand first.
Joe Won "Pop's Ultimate Star" 2007
In 2007 Joe took part in a reality TV show
"Pop's Ultimate Star". This was a singing contest similiar to
Idol, except all contestants were former NZ Idol Winners and finalists, as
well an Australian Idol 3rd place getter and fellow TrueBliss member, Keri
Harper.
On 22nd July 2007 Joe was voted overwhelmingly, by
the New Zealand public, and the panel of judges, the winner. Below is Joe's

live to the nation on the final episode.
